Where do you get it?: Boots at Emporio Armani and H&M

Where do you get your clothes the most?: My sister works as a fashion PR, and gives me lots of free stuff. I go to H&M and Zara, and I will take anything my friends are giving away, and since most of my friends work in fashion I get great “give aways”.

Favorite piece in your wardrobe: Not in my wardrobe exactly, but my favorite item is a silver/ivory ring (2 rings actually) that my friend Max made, a necklace my father gave to me, and my lucky red sunglasses.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe?: H&M colour card, black and grey, no prints.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer, admire, follow?: Carol Christian Poell, other than that, I’m not a very faithfull person in this regard, but I liked a lot the last Dries Van Noten accessories collection.

Cities you have traveled to this year: Vienna, Innsbruck, London, Hong Kong, Hamburg, Paris, and lots around Italy

What motivated you to go there? Half  for work, half for play

Which media do you prefer to get close to fashion? I love magazines everything from Vogue to Hello – we get them  at work, books, internet.

Do you have any hobbies, practice any sport, etc? I enjoy going out dancing with my friends a lot, love to cook, and tonight is my first yoga lesson ever.

What are you wearing today? Trainers Nike, jeans and t-shirt vintage Helmut Lang, cardigan James Perse, scarf Henrik Vibskov.

Where did you get it? The shoes I bought in Hong Kong in a street where they sell originals and counteirfeit so I don’t really know if they are originals. The cardigan in Los Angeles, the scarf in a trip to Berlin and the jeans and t-shirt in the Helmut Lang shop in Vienna back in the days there was one.

Where do you shop the most? Right now I really don’t like to spend money in clothes anymore, sometimes I buy stuff in markets I actually enjoy buying special pieces when I’m traveling, that’s nice. I also get some clothes from friends that don’t wear them anymore so they give them to me. When I want to buy something nice, for example Jil Sander, I go to the sample sales.

Favorite pieces in your wardrobe? A pair of boots I bought in Camdem Market when I was studying.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? There are a lot of stripes in my wardrobe, and I wear quite a lot of colors green, blues, I don’t wear a lot of black, even if today I’m wearing black jeans. I also love just plain white t-shirts.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer?  I don’t follow any designer, however I think Jil Sander and Marni menswear is great. And i dont know if it fits but i also love Muji’s clothes.

Frequented restaurants:  Da Oscar in via Palazzi. Osteria dei Poeti in Corso Garibaldi and Casottel in Via Fabio Massimo, where Signora Isa cooks amazing food.

Frequented bars: Bar Basso, Atomic and any bar if there are friends.

Favorite drink: Negroni Sbagliato and lots more.

Frequented clubsI love Glitter, it’s my favorite. There are so many stories in that place. I like Pink is Punk only when it’s downstairs, and La Nuova Idea if you’re in the mood and with the right group of people.

Concerts you have gone last year: I can’t remember, but it’s bad because they’re all during the week when I’m still recovering from the weekend.

Bands or musical artists you rather listen to: Classic music like Mozart and Wagner. But I also love Roxy Music, ABBA, old Cher, Blur, Pulp, New Order etc, etc. Just music with emotions..fun or sad…and music that makes you dance!

Cities you have traveled to this year: Shangai, Hangzhou, New York, Los Angeles, London, Mexico City, Vienna, Paris and some cities in Italy.

What motivated you to go there? China, New York and Los Angeles work, the rest was more for pleasure.

Which media do you prefer to get close to fashion? I am old school and I still like magazines or print media, I like the way they’re made. I actually look at them to see how people interpret fashion. I like Numéro and Vogue Italia. I also check some websites like Vogue.co.uk and Style. But i think my favourite way to get close to fashion are books..in a great library..like the one in college in London.

Do you have any hobbies, practice any sport, etc? I pay for a gym and I try to go there as much as possible. I also do Pilates lessons. I enjoy cooking and dancing on weekends and going to flea markets to find new stuff for my apartment.

What are you wearing today? Snow boots Converse, jeans Cheap Monday, t-shirt Comme des Garçons, vintage lumberjack shirt Man Alive.

Where did you get it? Both the jeans and the boots I bought them in stores in London, the t-shirt in Dover Street Market also in London, the shirt I think it was in a vintage store in New York.

Where do you shop the most? I normally buy on the stores, either the designer stores, deparment stores or vintage stores. Sometimes I get my clothes from sample sales.

Favorite pieces in your wardrobe? A white buttom down shirt by Comme des Garçons, a vintage shirt from the 50’s that I wear during the summer and a black leather jacket I designed. This last I like because it fits me very well.

 Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? Navy blue and black.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer? I think I really liked Miu Miu menswear when they were producing it. But I wear a lot of Comme des Garçons because they do small sizes.

Frequented restaurants: La Guinguetta, Osteria Borsieri, Il Giardino dei Segreti.

Favorite drink: Spritz Aperol, Prosecco, Bloody Mary and Moralino de Scarsano.

What motivated you to go there? New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Barcelona and Florence was for work, the other were pleasure trips.

Which media do you prefer to get close to fashion? I give a look to magazines, especially Arena Homme Plus, Self Service, 10, Butt and V Man

Where did you get it? I bought them in the different stores, the watch was a gift from my parents and the ring used to belong to my mother and then she gave it to me.

Where do you shop the most? I usually go and buy in the shops, but I also buy al lot on the internet  (YOOX, Topshop and Japanese stores), I also buy in the sample sales and I like to go to vintage shops.

Favorite pieces in your wardrobe? Some Yves Saint Laurent jackets, and I own a lot of white t-shirts that I always wear, some vintage jeans and my vintage Hermès bag.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? I like navy blue, black and camel.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer?  Yves Saint Laurent because I wear a lot from the brand, but I also like Margiela and Comme des Garçons.

Frequented restaurants: Sushiteca in Via San Fermo, and Fioriao Bianchi.

Frequented bars: I almost go everysingle night to Fioriao Bianchi to do aperitivo after work. It’s actually the only place in Milan I go alone, because since I’m always there they already are like friends. Sometimes I go to Elettroauto with friends.

Favorite drink: Red wine.

Frequented clubs: I go to Plastic on Saturdays and some Sundays. Magazzini Generali on Fridays to Pink is Punk, and the Gloss party in Divina where there’s a VIP room where I had fun with friends.

Concerts you have gone last year: Lightspeed Champion and Gianna Nannini. I have gone to other but I cannot remember right now.

Bands or musical artists you rather listen to: I am into the 70’s punk scene. I also like female voices. From a year ago I’m listening to Joan As Policewoman almost everyday. Basically I like rock classics like The Beetles.

Cities you have traveled to this year: Hong Kong, Paris, London, Greece and the South of France. A lot of places inside Italy, like Rome.

What are you wearing today? Trainers Nike Air, trousers Okura, white t-shirt Ralph Lauren, double breasted cardigan Neil Barrett.

Where did you get it? The trousers I bought them in Tokyo, the cardigan at the Neil Barrett’s showroom.

Where do you shop the most? I couldn’t say that I have a favorite store where I always go and shop. I buy mostly when I travel whatever comes to me. It’s like discovering new things…

Favorite piece: vintage t-shirts that I have since the 80’s. They are all trashed out but I still wear them.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? I would say navy blue. I also like striped shirts.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer? For menswear I would say Hedi Slimane. The changes he introduced in the way men dress were amazing and I think that even if he’s not designing anymore his influence is still visible in fashion for men. In womenswear I like Alber Elbaz.

Frequented restaurants: La Latteria, when I’m around in the city and I need to eat something I go to Panino Giusto and I grab a sandwich.

Frequented bars: I really like Mono,  and I go often to Elettroauto because is near and also a lots of friends live in that area.

Favorite drink: Vodka Tonic

Concerts you have gone last year: I don’t go to concerts anymore, I don’t know why since I used to. Right now I rather going to a club or a Dj gig. I like the opening season in Ibiza.

Bands or musical artists you rather listen to: It depends a lot. Recent music I would say Hercules & Love Affair and Kanye West. But I also like The Smiths and the kind of music that was popular when I was younger and now is being played a lot again.

Cities you have traveled to this year: I just got back from Tokyo, I went to Paris, Barcelona, New York and Greece during the summer.

What motivated you to go there? Tokyo, London and New York were work trips, Barcelona and Paris I went to visit some friends who live there, and Greece were my summer vacations.

Which media do you prefer to get close to fashion? As for magazines Fantastic Man is my favorite at the moment. I also check Style for fashion and Perezhilton for gossips on the internet.

Do you have any hobbies, practice any sport, etc? I really don’t like the concept of hobbie. I like my job and working so that could be considered as something that gives me a lot of pleasure. Besides that I do yoga and some gym.

Where do you shop the most? Since I wear a lot of the things I design, I don’t have to go shopping so often, but most of my shoes are from Prada in which I feel very comfortable and my bags from Bottega Veneta.

Favorite pieces in your wardrobe? A vintage fur coat from Missoni, a black leather coat from Gucci by Tom Ford, a Dolce & Gabbana gown and from my own collection a black one shoulder Greek dress.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? I wear a lot of colors, I am not a black person. I like blue, white and green for spring and neutral shades like pale pink, beige, camel.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer? Lanvin at this moment. For other reasons I like Dolce & Gabbana, we share the same philosophy in design: sexy woman. Theirs has more impact, mine is more subtle.

Frequented restaurants: Nobu. For fish Rocco and when I feel like eating meat Il Giardino Segreto.

Frequented bars: I’m over the aperitivo thing. If I have to go for a coffee I like Sissi.

Favorite drink: I would say Vodka Tonic, and Cosmopolitan.

Concerts you have gone last year: I haven’t gone this year. I thought about Madonna but right now she’s not at her best.

Bands or musical artists you rather listen to: My all times classics are Massive Attack and Fiona Apple. I’m still into the 90’s music and house. But music always depends on the mood.

Cities you have traveled to this year: I went to London, Russia and Greece.

What motivated you to go there? Greece was for pleasure, the others for work.

Which media do you prefer to get close to fashion? I like traveling, see what is around when I am walking down the streets. That’s inspiring. Of course I check what others designers are doing on magazines, so if there’s a direction to follow I might do it or do the opposite.

Do you have any hobbies, practice any sport, etc? I like practicing wet board but I had to stop it because of an accident I had by doing it. I also do tennis, swimming and yoga.

What are you wearing today? Jumper from Comme des Garçons by H&M, Jeans April 77, boots with no particular brand.

Where did you get it? The jumper H&M, the jeans I buy them everytime I go to Paris, the boots from a store in Antwerp called Elsa

Where do you shop the most? I shop during trips, I buy trainers in Via Torino and I go regularly to H&M. I’m lucky I have friends in other fashion houses and I get invited to showrooms so I can buy designer stuff with huge discounts.

Favorite pieces in your wardrobe? My jeans.

Which color (or prints) dominates your wardrobe? As everybody working in fashion: black, navy blue and grey. When you have to create and be very attentive to colors for designing to other people you forget a little bit about bringing that to yourself and end up using the same colors for practicality.

Is there a designer or brand that you prefer? Hedi Slimane. What he did for YSL and for Dior Homme. When I discover that I finally could wear a jacket in which the shoulder was actually for my size I couldn’t believe it. I also like Jil Sander now.
